Preschool Happenings

 Hello everyone! We have had a great couple of weeks in preschool. Sorry I didn't send out a blog last week. The snow day threw me off.  We have been loving this big big snow! We have been "painting" the snow with water colors in spray bottles. We have also been using our new shovels to dig and make paths in the snow.  PK 4- This group has been very into making decorations to hang, so on Tuesday we made bird feeder hangers for our playground.  PK 3- This group has been very into reading. We have been reading so many books as a group. Some of our recent favorites are, Sneezy the Snowman, Snowmen at Night, Almost Always Best Best Friends, and Hubble Bubble Granny Trouble.  In both groups we have playing with rhythm sticks. We had a lot of fun exploring different sounds and singing together.  In the new year we are looking forward to more work on conflict resolution and friendship work.  I hope you all have been enjoying this holiday season and enjoy the week to come! 

A book we all read this week:  This week in both classes we read the book Froggy Get's Dressed. It is a great book about all the things we need to wear outside, filled with a lot of preschool humor.  PK 3:  In the PK3 group this week we played the drums with Mr, Hill, played with ramps and cars and continued to play family. We also spent some time figuring out how to get the icicles down from the house outside. PK 4: In the PK4  group this week the preschoolers created many things that can be hung as decorations. We also went on a name scavenger hunt and continued our interest in ramps.  (Creating decorations)  (Hanging decorations on the "tree.")        (Coming together after finding our names. Making connections of who has the same letters.) Beware of Boogie Season: Today a preschooler told me "it's winter, so that means it's boogie season." He is not wrong! We have been seeing a lot of illness, including boogers, coughing, fatigue and general unwell f
